1.Thin Bits
Your voice, is stuck inside my head, it won’t go away, I’m coming to make you mine, you can’t hide. Because baby, I’m stuck inside your love, and voices from above, are telling me your name. Your smile, will stay with me for a while, girl I like your style, I wanna see you down the aisles, you make me feel so wild. Because lately, I’m disillusioned with our ways, I’m sick of all these waifs, thinning out my world. I’ve spent so many years trying to get inside my feelings, figure what I like about the world around me, I think I found it. I need to see past skin, I need to touch within, I wanna see you live and give, I’d rather feel four hips than just one and a half, now sit back girl and let me see you laugh. Your voice, is stuck inside my head, it won’t go away, I’m coming to make you mine, you can’t hide. Because baby, I’m stuck inside your love, and voices from above, are telling me your name.

2. So Long Jenny J
Hey Mr. Pilot Man I hope you got your rest last night, there’s special cargo on your flight, a young girl following her dream on wings around the world, and faithful Heidi by her side. Don’t forget your loved ones, sitting in cold England where the sun don’t shine, but in the moonlight we’ll drink and we’ll sing: So long Jenny J don’t stay long away, we’ll say cheers to your health on your return, bye bye Jenny J don’t stay long away, because we’ll miss you ‘till the day that you return. Hey Mr. Foreign Man keep your hands off our pretty girl, she’s coming back to us so soon, turn your eyes to all the wonders in your foreign world, and stay the far side of the moon. In the meantime, sitting on a beach off Raratonga’s shores, she’ll think to home and she will hear us sing: So long Jenny J don’t stay long away, we’ll say cheers to your health on your return, bye bye Jenny J don’t stay long away, because we’ll miss you ‘till the day that you return. She’s seen Vancouver sky lines, set her feet on golden sands, met a thousand people on the way, but a little town in County Down will always give her open arms. So long Jenny J don’t stay long away, we’ll say cheers to your health on your return, bye bye Jenny J don’t stay long away, because we’ll miss you ‘till the day that you return.

3. Easy Come Easy Go
I’ve been running round, I’ve been breaking down, I’ve been running round and that won’t do, I’ve been seeing red, I’ve been late to bed, I’ve been stripped of all the things I like to do. Easy come, easy go, see that street, I’ll walk it slow, they say jump, I say no, I’ll take this thing on my terms. Last night I drank too much, woke up for work damn rush, day off tomorrow there are many things for me to do, my hand’s gone mouse click numb, my senses rendered dumb, there are so many screens, I can’t see a way through. And there’s no space in one day, everyone gets in my way, my heart goes boom boom boom, please slow down now man, I’ve got to change my outlook, or they will write in a book, this is the tale of one who lost his way. Easy come, easy go, see that street, I’ll walk it slow, they say jump, I say no, I’ll take this thing on my terms. I’ve got to make it right, I don’t want to struggle all my life, not too much anyway, I’ve got to find a new shoe, I’ve got to dance to a new groove, nobody’s gonna tell my how to live this life their way. Easy come, easy go, see that street, I’ll walk it slow, they say jump, I say no, I’ll take this thing on my terms.
Karim Fanous: Voice, acoustic guitar, electric guitar / Vinznez Benjamin: Bass / Max Zastiera: Drums / Steve Honest: Electric guitar
4. Clichés And Candlelight
I can see my life in your skies, I’m waiting for the day love will tell all its lies, clichés flow so freely, when you’re searching your soul. See all the bubbles start to rise, jump up to catch one and step right inside, I’ll care for nothing at all, alone there inside. Clichés and the candlelight, what a charming way, to live this life. Uncover the sadness in yourself, you’re made up from pieces of everyone else, dreams got lost along the way, it’s so easy to say. Clichés and the candlelight, what a charming way, to live this life, lost and all alone.
Karim Fanous: Voice, acoustic guitar, electric guitar / Vinzenz Benjamin: Bass / Max Zastiera: Drums
5. Ship Is Sinking
Baby this ship is sinking, baby your boat is leaking, maybe you better start swimming, so you don’t drown in bitter tears. Baby this ship is sinking, baby your boat is leaking, maybe you better start swimming, so you don’t waste another year. Do you remember the first time you saw him, two lovers in love, sun shining on a winter’s day, but it’s been raining so hard, and so cold for so long, it’s time to sit back and sway. We were out last night, you were moving so nice, there was a strange look in your eyes, a new fire inside, the desire to be, by a stranger hypnotised. Baby this ship is sinking, baby your boat is leaking, maybe you better start swimming, so you don’t drown in bitter tears. You’re so tired of living a lie, and getting by, with a shade of what you really need, someone to stand by your side, and still sit back and smile, while you find yourself on the breeze. You’re sick to death of the plastic people, plastic days, nets working from morning to night, bees buzzing around, raping resources found, dialling in only whey they like. Baby this ship is sinking, baby your boat is leaking, maybe you better start swimming, so you don’t drown in bitter tears. Baby this ship is sinking, baby your boat is leaking, maybe you better start swimming, so you don’t waste another year.
Karim Fanous: Voice, acoustic guitars, electric guitars / Darren Ormsby: Bass / Will Spurling: Drums
6. On Top Of The World
She, she looks at me, I’m gonna be, allright forever, on top of the world.
She shines like the moon and pulls a thousand stars around her, I’ve never seen someone leave roses in their way, she runs there before me flowing at one with mother nature, she melted my ice and gave some meaning to my day. Her strength and her purity are things for me to lean on, her beauty and kindness are the sunshine of my life, her smile reaches out and stirs my deepest feelings, I hope that I will always be right by her side. She, she looks at me, I’m gonna be, allright forever, on top of the world, she speaks to me, leaving me be, allright forever, on top of the world. Her eyes show me life and happiness for everything, her hair holds the wealth of all the beauty in the world, she is a princess in my fairytale existence, and I would do anything to keep her by my side. She, She looks at me, I’m gonna be, allright forever, on top of the world.
Karim Fanous: Voice, acoustic guitars, electric guitars / Vinzenz Benjamin: Bass / Max Zastiera: Drums
7. Stir Crazy
I’ve been stuck in this room for so long, trying to make things work with my song, I don’t want to find myself an old man, still waiting to catch his moment in time, I’m going stir crazy. People say I don’t know the meaning of hard work, the jealousy in their lies makes me smile, to know that I’ve pushed myself much further, than they’ll ever go in their empty lives, but I’m going stir crazy. Feel it flowing out of this broken mind, I’m piecing together these tired lines, left my innocence and my youth behind, and all this time I’ve been going stir crazy...
Karim Fanous: Voice, acoustic guitars, electric guitars / Vinzenz Benjamin: Bass / Max Zastiera: Drums
8. Sometimes
Sometimes I’m ashamed of the things I’ve done, sometimes I know I’m not the only one, sometimes I need to hurt the ones I love. Sometimes I think I don’t deserve success, sometimes I can’t believe it’s not come yet, sometimes I feel like I’ve lost all hope. Maybe you could come around and hear my song, hold my hand and tell me I’m not wrong, maybe you could give me faith in myself. Sometimes I regret all the girls I’ve missed, sometimes I’m weak and I let things slip, sometimes I wake up with a head full of hurt. Maybe you could come around and sing me a song, let me know I’m not the only one, maybe we could help each other see some sense. Sometimes I’m afraid of what is to come, sometimes I’m bored and my luck’s gone long, sometimes I’m paranoid and make no sense. Sometimes I’m ashamed of the things I’ve done, sometimes I know I’m not the only one, sometimes I feel like I’ve lost all hope.
Karim Fanous: Voice, acoustic guitars / Darren Ormsby: Bass / Max Zastiera: Drums / Rich Barnard: Backing vocals / The Barclay Quartet: Strings / Strings arranged by Michael Csanyi-Wills and James Barclay
9. Perfume
Is that vanilla musk, or maybe angels dust, I need to know what you’re doing to me. Olfactory sensation, it’s a sweet damnation, I’m enticed by your mystery. I’ll stick to you like a tick, and I’ll make you itch, to let me in again and again. To smell your moistened lust, or just a scented bust, it’s driving me insane, just to get a whiff of your perfume. I was born with a tool, such a wonderful tool, I’m no ordinary man. What I like I take, what I like I break, and I’ve got you in my plan. In the heat of the sun, you’ll be my loaded gun, to blaze a trail right through this life. My own rohipnol kill, a designer thrill, and I’ll cut you with this knife, to get a grip on your perfume. I was lost in empty space, took five long years to find my way, and then my sense came to, I smelt the devil in you, and your perfume. You can’t hide what I’m coming for, you can’t run the way you’ve run before, you can’t hide what I’m coming for, because I’m a problem child, and I’m running wild, said I’m a problem child, and i’m running wild, just to get a whiff of your perfume.
Karim Fanous: Voice, acoustic guitar, electric guitars, bass / Will Spurling: Drums
10. Where Has Your Light Gone?
So you bought a big house, got a good return, made your investments wisely, but somehow something is missing. So you made a child, with the one you love, is your love true and wild, or did it just seem like the right thing to do? What will happen to the child when you fall apart? All this misery could be avoided, if we are careful to lead ourselves by the reason we feel our hearts dictate. I know I might be wrong, but somehow this feeling keeps hanging on, I’m just a bystander, I stand by, I see a lie and I want to know why. So you’re all grown up now, left your past behind, and in your rush to grow older, somehow you lost the point along the way. And now the rhythms of your life are much too fast, what you find in first place takes you back to the start. All this misery could be avoided, if we are careful to balance the reason of mind with the feelings that our hearts dictate. I know I might be wrong, but somehow this feeling keeps hanging on, I’m just a dreamer, I live for my dream, all this disillusion makes me want to scream. Where has your light gone?
Karim Fanous: Voice, acoustic guitars, electric guitars / Vinzenz Benjamin: Bass / Max Zastiera: Drums
11. Parting Song
Dazey waves of sweet soul taste unravel me, take me far away, to cloud nine, where I’ll stay for some time, but not too long, there is this thing we have to face today, time was on our side, once upon a tale, long ago. The time has come for us, my love, to part, goodbye, goodbye. Hazy shades of dark distaste confusing me, I can’t find room to feel, going down, for the while, you tell me to be strong, and face the task ahead with dignity, but pain and love and pride have left me cold, I can’t make sense of it all. The time has come for us, my love, to part, goodbye, goodbye.
Karim Fanous: Voice, acoustic guitar / Pete Duddles: Acoustic guitar / James Barclay: Strings
